The Tenpenny Bit is a Midlands based Barn Dance/Ceilidh band providing music suitable for:

 

• Weddings
• Birthdays
• Barn Dances
• Church and Club events
• Corporate Functions

 

The band was formed from regular Folk Dance Club musicians in the late 1970s. The lineup, apart from Lindsey, has changed over the years but the music is just as lively and energetic as ever! The current lineup includes accordian, fiddle/flute/sax/whistle, guitar and drums.

Platform 4

 

Platform x was created to play in Folk Dance Clubs around the area and to allow any musicians to 'join the band' for the evening, including the younger ones. The x was replaced by the number of musicians on the night, Platform 11 having been quite common! The younger ones have now grown up and the lineup stabilised to be exactly the same as The Tenpenny Bit - hence Platform 4.
